Wayland was a dearly loved son, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend.

Wayland graduated from Round Rock High School in 1947 where he met his high school sweetheart and the love of his life, Doris June Roberts. Wayland and June were happily married for 74 years. He worked as Super Intendent for Austin White Lime Company for 25 years. The boy’s family was forever grateful for Wayland’s efforts and often visited him in the years following. Wayland enjoyed traveling with June in their younger years and loved to play Keno in Las Vegas. He enjoyed, playing the guitar, western swing music. He had a love for wood working and growing things in the garden.
