Thomas Cox

Thomas G. Cox went home to be with Jesus and his momma, Sandra Klesel, on May 27, 2021 at the age of 38.

There are so many words we can use to describe how full of life Thomas was. He was a  force to be reckoned with, Through this larger then life personality you couldn’t miss him in a room. Especially is booming laugh or contagious smile. If you were having a bad day, there isn’t anything he wouldn’t do to make you smile.

Thomas by nature was a giver, which is one of the reasons friendships came so easily for Thomas. There isn’t anyone he wouldn’t help, if you came to him with a problem you can rest assured he would assist you anyway he could.
That saying “he would give you the shirt off his back” was definitely created behind Thomas because he would do that for his loved ones any day of the week.

Thomas did have a love for many things, from his dogs, hitting golf balls, dancing with his sweetheart, spending the day on the river fishing, but most of all spending time with his family and friends. A few weeks before his accident Thomas brought up how much family meant to him, how staying close to people you love is so important. How you have to show up and show you care.

The family knows he is up in heaven surrounded by loved ones, fishing & hitting golf balls. He has the biggest smile on his face because he’s not suffering anymore & he’s back with his momma. The loss is felt here today and will always be but they are comforted that he’s back to smiling & gained his wings.

Thomas is survived by wife of 6 years and sweetheart of 8years, Denise Cox; his father, Nathan G. Cox; Children, Audriana and Alejandro Sifuentes, Amber Perkins, Ryan and Amber Perkins; grandchildren, Shyla, Avah, Alyssa, Sophia, J.J., Quincy, Hollie, Seph, Axle, Thomas; sisters, Tina Campbell and Jacob Williams, Tonya Cox and Lester Bradford; uncle, Paul Fisher; extended family; brother's and sister's at heart and many friends.

A Memorial service to celebrate Thomas's life will be held Thursday, July 1, 2020 at Marrs Jones Newby Funeral Home located at 505 Old Austin Highway in Bastrop, Texas.

The family and friends will gather from 11:00am to 12:00pm and the service will begin at 12:00pm.
