Randel Gene Cantwell (Usmc Retired)

Randel Gene Cantwell, 70, of Hutto, TX, USMC Retired, died Sunday, September 25, 2022 at home surrounded by his loving family.  He was born January 20, 1952 in Austin, TX to James (Ivan) Cantwell and Darline Vera Cantwell.

Randel is survived by his wife, Cynthia, of 49 years; daughter, Angela Cantwell; son, James Cantwell (Courtney Cantwell); grandsons, Michael Ransdell, Zachary James Cantwell; brother, James Cantwell (Donna Cantwell); sisters, Patricia Preston, Brenda Hatton (Paul Hatton); brother-in-law, Richard King and sister-in-law, Amy Caithness, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded by his parents and beloved grandson, Max Jameson Cantwell.

After the graveside service, lunch will be provided at Casa Chalapa at 1800 Walnut Street, Bastrop, TX.

Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.

Visitation will be from 9:00am to 11:00am on Friday, September 30, 2022 at Marrs Jones Newby Funeral Home. The funeral home is located at 505 Old Austin Highway in Bastrop, Texas.

Graveside Military Honors will be at 11:30am on Friday, September 30, 2022 at Fairview Cemetery. The cemetery is located at 1409 Highway 95 North in Bastrop, Texas.
