Beloved husband, father, and friend, Ken passed away peacefully on the morning of Tuesday, June 7, 2022, with his wife, Patricia, at this side.

He was born on July 31, 1954, to his mother Ruth Garner and father, EK Murray in Freeport, Texas. He served in the United States Army from 1972 to 1988, serving at various stations in the US and in Germany. He retired from the Internal Revenue Service in 2017. He then trained as an Auctioneer and established MMB Auctioneers with his partner, wife Patricia.

He has been married to his loving wife and best friend, Patricia for twenty-four years.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia; daughter, Tameria Hayes; son, Wayne Murray; mother, Ruth Garner; father, EK Murray; sister, Melody Murray; brother, Gerald Murray; sister, Lee Lang; six grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to flowers, donations can be made to Prostate Research of the American Cancer Society.

Family and friends will gather from 12:00pm to 1:00pm on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Marrs Jones Newby Funeral Home. The Celebration of Kenton's life will begin at 1:00pm. Fellowship with friends (with light refreshments) will follow from 2:30pm to 4:30pm at Heritage Hall. The hall is located at 1020 Main Street in Bastrop, Texas.
