Kenneth Julian Zimostrad passed away peacefully on May 11, 2022, after a heroic battle with an ongoing illness.

Kenneth was born on 16 June 1943 in Detroit, Michigan, although he considers Texas his home. Ken retired from the military as a Master Sergeant after serving his country for nearly 30 years. He is survived by his soulmate and wife of 43 years, Betty Zimostrad; and his 3 children, Veronica Taylor and Kenneth Zimostrad of San Antonio, Texas, and Celena Hendrix of Smithville, Texas. Over the years, he has been blessed with several amazing grandchildren and great grandchildren which he treasured. He is also survived by his sisters, Gayle Miller of Michigan and Geraldine Lukas of Illonois; and his brother, Wade Zimostrad of Arizona. In retirement he lived a full life of golfing, fishing, and spending time with his family.

A celebration of his life will be held at Marrs-Jones-Newby Funeral Home on Saturday, June 4, 2022, from 2:00pm-4:00pm in the parlor.

In lieu of flowers and food, please make donations in his honor to the Wounded Warriors Project or ASPCA, two projects that were near and dear to his heart.
