Joe Burleson

Joe Eugene Burleson, born on March 5, 1960, passed from this earthly life on April 18, 2021 with the love of his life by his side.  Joe was born in San Angelo, Texas and raised in Brownwood, Texas.

Joe loved life and could always be counted on for a good laugh.  He enjoyed listening to old music and definitely had a passion for watching movies.  He was always up for an adventure and loved to travel.  He has certainly left a hole in many people’s hearts.

He was preceded in death by his parent’s, Jack Burleson Sr and Gladys (Dinky) Burleson; his brother Jack Jr.; and his daughter Jandrea.  He is survived by his husband Daron; brothers Bruce (Debbie) and Bob (Sid); sister-in-law Carolyn; and special dear friend to both he and Daron, Shirley.  He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and friends who will all miss him dearly.

A gathering of family and friends will be held to celebrate Joe's life from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at Marrs Jones Newby Funeral Home in Bastrop, Texas.
