James Kee

James Carl Kee, 84, Retired Health Physicist passed away Wednesday December 15, 2021 at Bastrop Lost Pines Nursing Home. Mr. Kee was born on September 20, 1937 in Crockett, Texas, the son of James W. and Ollie M. (LaRue) Kee He was raised in Victoria, Texas, where he attended school and married the love of his life, Joy Wyvonne Wagner. Mr. Kee worked as a teacher of High School science and later as a consultant for radiation safety to Industry and Government laboratories. Mr. Kee served his country as a member of the Army Reserves where he attained the rank of Sergeant. He was a member of both Lions International and the Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed teaching, reading, and historical re-creation activities through participation in the SCA. Mr. Kee is survived by his wife, Joy W. Kee, daughter, Beverly S. Kee, son and daughter-in-law, James S. and Michelle L. (Yaples) Kee and their children and grandchildren. Services will be at Marrs-Jones-Newby Funeral Home in Bastrop, Texas on Wednesday, December 29 at 2:00 p.m.
