Heliodoro Gonzalez

Heliodoro C. Gonzalez was a loved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle.  He passed away June 18, 2022, 10 days before his 69th birthday.  He was a very strong, hard-working man, with many passions including gardening, building the family home and woodworking.  His passion started when he worked 17 years for Greater Texas Landscape as a gardener, then 22 more years when he worked for UT Austin, as a gardener.  When he retired, he continued his passion at home, he has the yard beautifully landscaped.

Heliodoro is survived by his wife of 42 years Emma B. Gonzalez, children and step children, grandchildren, great grandchildren.   Survived Sibling’s Roberto, Isidro, Tomas, Martin, Armando, Jose, Vicente, and sister Juana.   Deceased Sibling Juan Gonzalez, and deceased parents Vicente Gonzalez & Carmen Cruces.

Heliodoro C. González fue un amado esposo, padre, abuelo, bisabuelo, hermano y tío. Falleció el 18 de junio de 2022, 10 días antes de cumplir 69 años. Era un hombre muy fuerte, trabajador, con muchas pasiones, entre ellas la jardinería, la construcción de la casa familiar y la carpintería. Su pasión comenzó cuando trabajó 17 años para Greater Texas Landscape como jardinero, luego 22 años más cuando trabajó para UT Austin, como jardinero. Cuando se retiró de UT, continuó con su pasión en casa, tiene el jardín hermoso.

A Heliodoro le sobreviven su esposa durante 42 años Emma B. González, hijos y hijastros, nietos, bisnietos. Sobrevivió a los hermanos Roberto, Isidro, Tomas, Martín, Armando, José, Vicente y hermana Juana. El hermano fallecido Juan González y los padres fallecidos Vicente González y Carmen Cruces.

Visitation will be from 4:00pm to 6:00pm and the Rosary at 6:00pm on Friday, July 1, 2022 at Marrs Jones Newby Funeral Home. The funeral home is located at 505 Old Austin Highway in Bastrop, Texas.

Graveside services will be at 9:00am on Saturday, July 2, 2022 at Upper Cedar Creek Cemetery.  The cemetery is located at 1467 Highway 21 in Cedar Creek, Texas.
