Deborah Colleen Klaus passed away with family surrounding her on January 20, 2023 at the age of 66.
Deborah was born on February 1, 1956 to Donald and Imogene Eller in Seattle, Washington. She was a lover of her family and the outdoors. She enjoyed quiet nights with Doyle, crafting with the kids, big family dinners ,gardening, feeding her cows and watching the sheep roam. She raised and trained many dogs over the years.
On November 9, 2002, Deborah married Doyle Klaus. They made a home in Rockne, Texas, and were blessed with their children and grandchildren. Deborah and Doyle were strong supporters of the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, St. Jude’s Foundation, the Wounded Warrior Project and Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Rockne.
Deborah worked for the City of Austin, Austin Energy, for 27 years as a Utility Customer Service Representative before she slowed down and enjoyed her country life.
Deborah is survived by her husband, Doyle Klaus, her children, Julia McCarthy (Richard) and David Meadows (Michelle), her grandchildren, Tyler McCarthy, Aubree Meadows, Tryston Meadows, Bree McCarthy and Cayden Meadows, her brothers, Duane Eller (Tori and Blake), David Eller, and Donald Eller Jr. and her beloved dog, Bleu.
Deborah is preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Imogene Eller, her mother-in-law, Bernice Klaus, and her sister-in law, Theresa Eller.
During these unprecedented times, the family greatly appreciates all of the prayers, communications, and visits. The Klaus home is always open and welcome to our family and friends.
The family would like to give a special thanks to enhabit hospice for their care and a special thanks to Sherri and Mary for their unwavering support.
Services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Saturday, February 11, 2023.
Family and friends will gather at the church from 9:00am to 10:00am. The Rosary will start at 10:00am and the the Mass at 10:30am.
