Carl Wayne "CW" Botkin, 74, born in Beaukiss, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home in Paige, Texas on March 8, 2021.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Mary Jane Botkin; sisters, Ruby, Lynn, and Ann; brothers, Ernest and Lee Ray Botkin; mother-in-law, Laura Tucker.
He is survived by his loving wife, Cynthia Botkin; daughter, Tabatha Jones of Marble Falls, Texas; son, Russell Botkin of Austin, Texas; daughter, Julie (Rodney) Fitzgerald of Omaha, Nebraska; brother, Jimmy (Sandy) Botkin of Paige, Texas; sisters, Jo Grady and Don Parker of Belton, Texas, Vicki Botkin of Smithville, Texas, Sandra (Daniel) Beck of Cedar Creek, Texas; adopted daughter and friend, Faith Sager of Cedar Creek; adopted son and nephew, Brian Ivy of Paige, Texas; brothers-in-law, James (Jodie) Tucker of Tennessee, Robert (Mary) Tucker of Caldwell, Texas, Larry (Linda) Tucker of Whitehouse, Texas; sisters-in-law, Norma Williams of Midway, Texas and Dollie Williams of Midway, Texas; grandchildren, Justin, Trent, Haley Jones of Marble Falls, Texas, Jaclyn and Mason Botkin of Austin, Texas, Codie, Robert and Laura Hitch of Omaha, Nebraska; great grandchildren, Chad Allen Jones of Marble Falls, Texas, Trinitee May Botkin of Marble Falls, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Carl and Cynthia married January 30, 1998 in Bastrop, Texas and were married for 23 years. His favorite hobbies were gardening, hog hunting with his brother Jimmy Botkin, restoring old cars, and going to car shows. He was a plumber for over 35 years. He loved to drive his red dodge dart on Saturday nights to Tractor Supply for Show and Shine with friends.
Visitation will be Friday March 12, 2021 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm in the chapel of Marrs-Jones-Newby Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday March 13, 2021 at 11:00am from the chapel of Marrs-Jones-Newby Funeral home. Interment will follow at Lawhorn Cemetery.
