Arvil Miles

Arvil Neil Miles, 79, passed away peacefully, July 7, 2021, with his wife by his side, in Smithville Texas.

Throughout the years he enjoyed spending time at his ranch with his animals.  Several years ago, his dream of building a house and living there happened.  Arvil was a diehard bluegrass fan and loved playing the Dobro.  Anyone who knew him knew his passion for Harleys. Arvil was always willing to help his neighbors and family.  He was always a good friend and will be missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents Katherine and Elthrice Huey.

Arvil is survived by his wife: Judy Miller; Sisters: Rebecca Huey, Vicki Berry; Brother: Joe Miles; Children: Sarah Porter, Karen Miles-Duncan, Ryan Miles; Grands: Cory Porter, Marley Porter, Landon Miles, April Brunk, Meghan Chroniger, Joshua Duncan; Great Grands: Syrus, Oliver and Rowan Chroniger; Aunt: Frances Tedford and many cousins and extended family.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 4, 2021, 12:00 PM to 2:00pm at Marrs-Jones-Newby Funeral Home in Bastrop, Texas followed by a memorial service at 2:00pm.
