Winston Rudolph Leifester, 82, of Bastrop, TX, passed away peacefully with his loving family surrounding him on September 15, 2023. Winston was born on February 28, 1941, to parents Henry and Bertha Leifester in Briggs, TX.
Winston was a dedicated and devoted coach and PE teacher for 30 years. He had a passion for fishing, flower gardening, and college football and basketball.
Winston is reunited in heaven with his parents Henry and Bertha Leifester and his seven siblings: Carlita Fox, Adaline Brizendine, James Henry Leifester, Novine Heathcott, Patsy Shipley Decker, Glenda Casteel, and George Leifester.
Winston’s memories will be cherished by the love of his life Jeneva Joyner Leifester, son and daughter-in-law Jason and Nita Leifester of Elgin, TX, honorary granddaughter Madison Cason and her children Hazel and Winston, sisters-in-law Charlotte Leifester and Judy Scorup, brother-in-law Pete Scorup, aunt Evelyn Parker, and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at 10 AM at Killeen City Cemetery, 2408 E. Rancier Avenue, Killeen, TX 76543, with Winston’s nephew Roy Scorup presiding over the service.
