Wilburn Jim Ellis

Wilburn Jim Ellis passed away March 4, 2022 at the age of 70. He was born in 1951 to Mildred and Melvin Ellis.

He retired from the City of Austin, Austin Energy after 21 years of service. He spent his retirement catching up on westerns and relaxing with his dogs, Alice and Harry.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Norman Ellis; and grandson, Ray Sedwick.

Wilburn is survived by his wife of 32 years, Laura Ellis; two daughters, Cynthia Ellis, Angela Ellis; two grandchildren, Timothy Sedwick (Lexi), Melissa Estaville; great-grandson, Bryson Sedwick; two sisters, Janelle Ellis Porter, Vicki Maxwell (Teddy); 7 brothers, Milburn Ellis, Richard Ellis (Ethel), Billy Ellis (Chris), Tommy Ellis (Kay), Ronnie Ellis (Lynne), Lloyd Ellis (Margaret), Larry Ellis (Helen) and several extended family and friends.

Family and friends will gather for a time to celebrate Wilburn's life from 1:00pm to 3:00pm on Sunday, March 13, 2022 at Marrs Jones Newby Funeral Home.
