Tom A. Spalding was born at his home in Richmond, Indiana on April 17th, 1934 to Frank and Lorna Spalding. He married the great love of his life Linda Sibert on June 24th, 1956. Tom gave up a lucrative career opportunity in the tool and die industry to give his entire life to serving his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as a pastor and missionary in both Bolivia and Panama. His life though not rich in worldly goods was rich in eternal treasures. Tom died peacefully at his home in Bastrop, Texas on April 25th, 2022 surrounded by his wife Linda and children Laura and David. He is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Lorna Spalding, his sister Andrea and husband Harold Tiemann, his nephew Daniel Tiemann, and his firstborn grandson Aaron Wolf. Tom is survived by his wife Linda Spalding, daughters Kathy Spalding Runyon, husband Stan and 2 sons, Laura Spalding Wolf and 1 son, and son David Spalding and wife Mirella Hernandez, 1 son and 3 daughters, 2 sons-in-law, and 3 great grandchildren.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate Tom's legacy from 1:00pm to 2:00pm on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at Marrs Jones Newby Funeral Home. The service will begin at 2:00pm at Marrs Jones Newby. The funeral home is located at 505 Old Austin Highway in Bastrop, Texas.
