Thomas Haptonstall

Thomas J. Haptonstall (Tom), age 76, of Bastrop peacefully passed away on March 12, 2019
at the Lost Pines Nursing and Rehab. Center. Tom was born July 28, 1942 in Huntington,
West Virginia to Harry David Haptonstall Sr. and Katherine Elizabeth Jeffers. He married Irma
Canales in 1988 and has resided in Bastrop since 1995.

Tom was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a hard working man who took care of his family.
He was a wonderful husband, talented artist, caring father, grandpa and uncle. He had a deep
appreciation for spending quality time with family, friends, his beloved pets and in the outdoors.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Katherine, a son, Andy Canales and a
sister Kay Joy.

Survivors include his wife of 30 yrs, Irma Haptonstall, daughter Analisa Schmitt, grandkids Jake
and Julia Schmitt, brother Dave Haptonstall and nieces and nephews.
