Thomas Seymour Barrett Jr., age 89, of Bastrop, Texas passed away on September 17,2026 in Lockhart, Texas.

Thomas was born in 1937 to Thomas and Zula Barrett. Thomas worked as a part of the UA Local 286 Plumbers & Pipe Fitters of Central Texas.

Thomas leaves behind his children, John Thomas Barrett of Bastrop and Barbara Miller of Austin. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Amanda Barrett, Amber Barrett, Cassie Barrett, Melissa Barrett Christopher Barrett and Zane Barrett.

He will be laid to rest Saturday the 26th of September 2026, in which friends and family are invited to attend at Fairview Cemetery, in Bastrop, Texas. Thomas loved his family with his whole heart and would surrender the shirt off his back if it would make someone else happy. He was the rock to the entire family that everyone could depend on. He enjoyed making others smile and especially the grandkids who he spoiled with treats, and there were many!

Thomas battled dementia prior to his passing. His family was blessed and thankful to enjoy his time on earth. He had irresistible charm and sense of humor. We will miss his silly jokes and miss when he used to click his heels to show he was still young. He even still swore he could beat the kids in a foot race.

His family would like to thank everyone that was there for Thomas throughout all of his struggles in life and appreciate the tremendous support.
