Stephanie Ann (Aaron) Johnson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2022, at the age of 64 with family by her side after a short battle with cancer.
Stephanie, known by Steve, was born on February 27, 1957, to her mother Sarah Margaret (Klingensmith) Aaron and her father Robert Earl Aaron in New Kensington, Pennsylvania. She was married to Larry Maxwell Johnson on January 19,1973, in Gulfport, Mississippi. Steve loved many things that required a trained eye and a talented hand. She was an avid gardener, a talented seamstress, a wonderful cook, and a prolific collector of music with an ear for talent. She spent 32 years as a CNA taking care of people who loved her and that she loved as well. She believed in their dignity and led by example when training others to believe that too. She was witty with a terrific sense of humor that will be sorely missed. She loved her family deeply and she had a spot for every one of them in her heart. She dearly loved her two little granddaughters and was proud of their every accomplishment. Steve was a beautiful woman with brilliant taste and style. Steve was a wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, daughter in-law, sister, and friend. She will leave a void that will never be filled.
Steve was preceded in death by her father, Robert Aaron; her mother in-law, Viola Johnson; and her sister, Lynne Montgomery.
Steve is survived by her husband, Larry; her children, Zachary Lee Johnson and his wife Daniela and their daughter Abigail Lee; Dallas Taylor Johnston and her husband, Brent and their daughter, Avery Ann; and Michael Hennington Johnson; mother, Sarah (Sally) Klingensmith Aaron Marks; her father in-law, Roy Maxwell Johnson; and her sisters, Casey Aaron and Cory Foust. Steve also has many nieces who loved her dearly and will greatly miss her.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 28, 2022 from 1:30pm-3:30pm in the chapel of Marrs-Jones-Newby Funeral Home in Bastrop, Texas.
