Sandy Wiggins

Sandra Lynn Wiggins, went home on August 10, 2026 at the age of 59. Born in Smithville, Texas, Sandy grew up in Bastrop where she met her husband of 41 years, Douglas Wiggins. Together they cultivated a loving marriage centered on faith and filled with laughter.

With a brave heart and a clear vision, she stepped out in faith to courageously open her own business. Sandy’s Southern Spice opened their doors in 2021 and quickly became a local favorite, being voted one of Bastrop’s Best for multiple years. Her boutique was not just a place of business to her – it was an opportunity to bless others with her kindness, loyalty, and love.

Sandy built a life centered on Jesus and love for her family. Her unwavering faith in Jesus guided her path and inspired everyone around her. She didn’t just speak about faith; she lived it out every day. Her heart and her home were always open, and she had a beautiful way of making even strangers feel like family.

Sandy leaves behind her husband, Douglas Wiggins, Jr.; daughter Latrisha Goertz; grandchildren Molleigh, Lincoln, and Rylan; sisters Glenda Miles, Donna Crawford and Cheryl Seaton; brother Roger Reid, and a number of extended family members who love her dearly.

Services to celebrate Sandy will be held at Marrs Jones Newby Funeral Home, located at 505 Old Austin Highway in Bastrop, Texas.

Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Tuesday, August 18, 2026.

Funeral Services will begin at 11:00am on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 with burial following at Oak Hill Cemetery in Smithville, Texas.
