Ruby Glasco

Ruby Rhodes Glasco-Veal passed away February 22, 2019 at the age of 83.

Ruby was proud to have been a Pastor's wife. This led the way for her lifelong commitment to the church and strengthened her faith. She was actively involved with church. She served as a trustee at Mt. Rose, was the Mission One President over Bastrop and the Mt. Rose Mission President, and a member of the Calanthe Historical Society Her Majesty Court 87. She was always a very classy lady.
She loved her family dearly and had a special fondness of her granddaughter, Nikki and her great-gran, Alexa. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, husband, John Veal and son, Tommy Johnson. Ruby is survived by her step-children, Sandra Limuel and her husband Darrell, John Veal, Jr. and his wife Jaime; grandchildren, Nichole Humphrey and her husband Pastor Lance Humphrey, Tara Franklin; great-grandchildren, Alexa Humphrey, Nathanyal Franklin; niece, Rose Lee Cox; great-niece,
Nancy Grace Green; cousin, Mary Eldridge; best friend, Georgia Booker and her "Boys", Scottie and TJ.

The family would like to give a heartfelt thanks to Ruby's neighbors Hugo and Josseline Ramirez and also a special thank you to Dr. Meeneghan, Dr. Yount and to Encompass Home Health Care for their special care and attentiveness given to Gran Gran.

The visitation and funeral service to celebrate Ruby's life will be on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Mt. Rose Missionary Baptist Church of Bastrop, Texas. The visitation will begin at 10:00am and the funeral service at 11:00am with the burial following at Clearview Cemetery.
