Ronald Wayne Garner passed away August 16, 2022 at the age of 70. He was born in Gonzalez, Texas.
Ronald proudly and honorably served in the United States Navy. During his tours of duty in the early 60s and 70s he was in around Vietnam. He served on the USS Hollister.
Ronnie would make any one he was around laugh he was such a joker. He was a hard worker loved to fish and hunt. He loved his family very much.
We will always love and miss him .
Proceeded in death by his brothers, Glen Garner; Samual Garner; and sister, Deborah Garner.
Ronnie is survived by his mother, Edna (Johnson) Peel; son, Travis Garner; step-daughter, Tracy Melancon; brother, Richard (Ricky)Garner(Debbie); sister-in-law, Susan Garner Green(Darrell); grandsons, Hayden Garner, Hunter Garner; niece, Faith Kennedy (David); nephew, Michael Garner (Tracy); And many more Nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends.
In lieu of flowers please make memorial donations to the Wounded Warrior Project or military charity of your choice in honor of Ronald Garner.
A funeral service to celebrate Ronald's life will be held on Friday, August 19, 2022 at Marrs Jones Newby Funeral Home. The funeral home is located at 505 Old Austin Highway in Bastrop Texas.
Family and friends will gather from 9:30 to 10:00am and the service will begin at 10:00am. Graveside services and Military Honors will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Bastrop, Texas.
