Petra Merino

Petra Merino, of Bastrop, went home to Raul on February 9, 2019 at the age of 89.

Petra was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Raul Merino; brothers, Marciano, Vidal, Jr., Felipe; and her much loved sisters, Mary and Guadalupe.

Left to celebrate her life are her children, Mary Esther Whitney (Steve), Raul Jr., Albert (Terry), Ann Bristow (Bob), Virginia Davila (Lee), Tony, Freddie (Cecilia), Berlinda Jolley (Ralph), Corina Warnell, Susie Castillo (Gregg), 21 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

To honor Petra's wishes, the family will have private services to celebrate her life and she will be laid to rest next to her husband, Raul, at Alta Vista Cemetery.
