Patrick A. "Pat" Meuth, age 78, passed from this life on Monday, July 9, 2018 at his home in Rockne
with his family surrounding him. Pat was born September 3, 1939 in Rockne to Richard and Katie
Pat served in the US Army during the Korean War from 1958 to 1960; was a Lifetime Member of
VFW Post 2527 in Rockne; and a member of the Carpenters Labor Union. He owned and operated
"Catfish Corner" from 1973 to 1977 and "Corner Cash and Carry" from 1977 to 2003. He also served
as Bastrop County Commissioner Precinct 3 from 1988 to 1991.
Pat loved fishing, playing dominoes and running his farm and ranch.
Pat was preceded in death by: daughters, Brenda Lee and Stacy Gail; his parents; brothers, Valon
Meuth, Merlin Meuth, and Norman Meuth.
Pat is survived by: his wife of 57 years, Henrietta Meuth; daughters Deborah Morkovsky and
husband Nathan, Melissa Voigt and husband Mike, and Kathy Carriger and Bobby Dougherty;
step-daughter I-Lean; grandchildren, Andrea Richter and husband Chad, Chelsea Hagler and
husband James, Ashlyn Voight and fiancé Bill Tutor, Holly Tucker and husband Samuel, Shelby
Smith and husband Josh, Molly Carriger and fiancé John Armstrong; Great-grandchildren,
Robin Richter, Brooklyn Richter, Hunter Hagler and Heaton Hagler; sisters, Eva Friske, Dinah
Bachmeyer and husband Dennis, Nell Rose Fohn and husband Bobby, Nelda Cowan and
Jimmy Henry, Beverly Koi and husband Julian; brothers, Virgil Meuth and Wayne Meuth and
wife Brenda; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
A Visitation will begin at 6:00pm Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in
Rockne and the Rosary will be recited at 7:00pm. A Mass will be celebrated at 10:30am Thursday,
July 12, 2018 also at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery
