Ofelia Peasley

Ofelia Peasley, 85, beloved daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother, was called to the heavenly kingdom on March 4, 2022.

The sun shined a little brighter when she entered this world on March 25, 1936. She and her memories will live on with those blessed enough to have known her. She was hardworking, resilient, and loving. She lived her life always looking at the glass half full.

She is preceded in death by her adored mother Aurora, loving husband Jerry, daughter Sylvia, son Bryan, daughter Elizabeth, granddaughter Stephanie Allie Herrera and dear friend Chia. She is survived by her son Armando Gonzalez, daughter Dianna Gonzalez-Herrera, son John Wood, daughter Joann Villegas, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will all miss her smile dearly.  Her courage and strength lives on through them.

The family wishes to acknowledge with deep appreciation the many expressions of love, concern, and kindness shown to them during this hour of bereavement.

A celebration of Ofelia's life will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, March 18, 2022, at Marrs Jones Newby Funeral Home. The funeral home is located at 505 Old Austin Highway in Bastrop, Texas.
