Nina Pearl Holder Wilkinson went to be with the Lord on April 9, 2022. She was born in Gould, Oklahoma on January 21, 1932. Her family moved a lot following her dad's work on the railroad. After moving to Devol, Oklahoma she met her future husband.
Nina married Glen Alan Wilkinson on February 8, 1950 and they had five children. Glen and Nina traveled for twenty years to his numerous Air Force Duty Stations including Tripoli and Libya. They settled in Bastrop, Texas 1969 after his retirement.
Retirement didn't slow them down at all. Nina and her sister Virgie played co-ed softball and she also worked at The Second Hand Rose. Glen and Nina were active members of the Bastrop C.B. Club were she was known as "Lady Cat Eyes." They also volunteered at Bits & Pieces and were involved at Calvary Baptist Church. But most of all she enjoyed her ever growing family.
Nina was preceded in death by her parents, William and Edna Holder; her husband, Glen; daughter, Pamela Leisure; son, Donald Wilkinson; granddaughter, Candace Lee Bolding; brothers, Doyal and Glendale Holder; and her sister, Virgie Daniel.
Nina is survived by her daughters, Glenda Moore (David), Sherril Kullenberg; son, Ronald Wilkinson (Sharon); and daughter-in-law Tiffany Wilkinson. She was also lovingly known as "Big Mama" by 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Danny Bolding, Harvey Kullenberg, Grahm Robinson, Timothy Eubanks, Blake Wilkinson, Cody Wilkinson, Jeffrey Bolding, David Moore, Patrick Wilkinson.
Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at Marrs Jones Newby Funeral Home. The funeral home is located at 505 Old Austin Highway in Bastrop, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at Marrs Jones Newby Funeral Home with burial following at Fairview Cemetery.
