Murry Deshay

July 31, 1983 — January 4, 2017

Murry Lee DeShay, Jr., life's journey began on July 31, 1983 to the parentage of Mr. Murry, Sr. & Mrs. Mary DeShay of Cedar Creek, Texas. He was the youngest of six (6) children.

His youth is characterized by the cultural trend of the time of his day. He completed his general education and graduated from Bastrop High School
He accepted Christ in his youthful age at the Mason Lone Oak Baptist Church, Lockhart, TX. under the Pastoralship of Rev. T. C. DeShay.

He was the life of any party. He had a way of bringing a smile to anyone's face and heart on their worst day. Murry was gifted to do many things and was considered by many to be a jack of all trades.

He loved football (Dallas Cowboys), horseback/trail riding, motorcycles and flashy cars; but more than all of that he loved all of his family. He will forever live in our hearts as the funny protective, talented, peace-maker and all time favorite people to be around.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Eugene Sr. & Willie B. DeShay, three (3) aunts: Tremetra Brown, MaeFrances Cavanaugh and Evelena Record; two (2) uncles: Eugene DeShay, Jr. and Jerry DeShay; nephew: Wilburt Reed III; and brother-in-law: Ross Colvin.

He leaves to mourn many cherished memories by wife, Ashley DeShay; three children: Destiny, Murry III and Casey DeShay; parents Murry Sr. & Mary DeShay, his siblings: Wilburt Reed, Jr; Lurlene Colvin, Thomas (Latrelle) Reed, Georgia Raspberry and Christopher (Jennifer) Reed; maternal grandparents Eugene & Dorothy Frederick, several aunts, uncles, a host of nieces/nephews, cousins and many friends.
