Minnielee was baptized and Confirmed at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Warda, TX. She has been a very active member of the Lutheran Church all her life. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Hulda (Mitschke) Hobratschk, her ex husband Howard Hendrix, and all her brothers and sisters and their spouses. As a young adult, she moved from the farm to Houston, Texas. Where she worked as a long distance operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone during World War II. She then married Howard Hendrix in March of 1945, and they moved to Clovis, NM. There she worked for the First National Bank of Clovis. Her pride was being a Lutheran, a True Native Texan, and a mother. She returned to Texas as soon as she could. She finished her working career at the Texas State Comptroller's Office, from which she has many pleasant and fond memories. Upon retirement she was able to pursue her many hobbies, which included: Cooking, Gardening, Crocheting, Reading and doing Crossword Puzzles. All these activities kept her mind and body sharp and healthy. Everyone who knew her is a richer person.
Her motto is: 2 Timothy 4: 7&8. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day - and not only to me, but to all who have longed for his appearing.
