Mario Santiago “Jimmy” Pacheco age 68, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2026, in Bastrop, Texas.

He was born on October 1, 1957, in Bastrop, Texas, to Domingo and Angelina Pacheco.

Mario grew up in Bastrop, Texas and attended Bastrop High School. He loved his children and grandchildren and had a passion for NASCAR, and drumming. On any given day, he could often be found playing his drums.

Mario is survived by his daughter, Jamie Dugan and her husband, Joshua, son Mario Pacheco Jr. and his wife, Simona and son Matthew Miller; and by his seven grandchildren, Santiago Galvan, Jordan Dugan, Alexander Pacheco, Azariah Pacheco, Angelina Pacheco, Aubree Pacheco, and Christian Pacheco.

Mario is also survived by his sisters, Velia Leal, Cynthia Braendle and her husband Mike, and Mary Pacheco and her husband Lonnie, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Angelina and Domingo Pacheco.

Visitation will be held Monday, June 22, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., followed by a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Marrs-Jones-Newby Funeral Home. A funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, June 23, at 10:00 a.m. at Ascension Catholic Church.
