Margery Ann Laake

Margery (Margie) Ann Laake born January 19th, 1947 passed peacefully at home with family May 25th, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, Erwin and Inez Laake, and her son David Barton. She is survived by her daughter Heather (Steven) Keinroth, her grandchildren Dalton and Delaney Banfield, and her brothers Kelly (Patsy) Laake, P.A. Laake, and Jimmy Laake. Her sweet little dog Sarah passed hours behind her. 

Margie loved to travel. A wanderlust that took her all over the world. She saw Rome, Greece, Egypt, and much more. She even walked with a Shaman through the jungles of Peru, and bathed in the waters of the Nile. She sought, and taught us to do the same. She instilled curiosity and thoughtfulness in us. She selflessly cared for others and touched lives in ways we may never know. Her smile was everything.

Margie requested there be no service, but please join us in honoring her at a gathering of family and friends at Marrs-Jones-Newby Funeral Home Saturday June 15, 2024 at 12pm.
