Marco A. Roggio, Jr.

Marco Antonio Roggio 88 passed away peacefully in Bastrop Tx on May 9, 2024.  

Marco was born on October 27, 1935, to Marco and Dorthea Roggio in New Egypt, New Jersey. After high school Marco joined the Army and served in the Korean war. He received the National Defense Service Medal. Throughout the years he owned several businesses and was an auctioneer. He was an avid coin collector. Marco loved animals, at times he had cows, chickens, goats, ducks and geese. But he loved his dogs most of all. 

Marco was predeceased by his mother and father, Grandparents Giovanni and Mariatta Roggio, Son Daniel, Wife Shirley, a daughter, brothers Artie, William, John and Louis, sisters Dorothy (Dottie) and Shereen. 

Marco is survived by his sister Jo-Shereen, daughters Christina (Allen) Dubois, Felicia (Ken) Aman, Kathryn (George) Handelong and five daughters (and their children and grandchildren) with first wife Barbara Langdon, Son Marco (Terrie), granddaughters Jesecca Drake, Megan (Nick) Garcia, Kaylee Dubois, Grandsons Christopher Aman, Mitchell Aman, Dylan Dubois, James Dubois, Edward Reck III, Matthew Amodio, Johnathon Amodio, Andrew Kaczmar, 6 great granddaughters and 6 great grandsons.  

Marco was more than just a father and grandfather, he was an uncle to many nieces and nephews, a godfather to Debbie Frederick and a friend to many.  

The memorial service will be held at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, NY. The date and time of the service is to be determined.
