Louisa Sanchez beloved wife, mother and grandmother, 77, from Austin, Texas passed on to be with her creator on March 25, 2024. Born on October 6, 1947, to Montell and Alejandra Sustata Sanchez. Louisa lived in Ausitn, Texas for most of her life and resided to Cedar Creek, Texas in 1999. 

She was preceded in death by Rudy C. Ruedas.

Louisa is survived by her loving husband Reyes Carrasco Ruedas of 58 years. Louisa is also survived by son, Joe L. Ruedas; daughters, Diana R. Ortiz and Christi R. Torress; son-in-law Richard Torres and daughter-in-law Alice M. Ruedas; and eight grandchildren; Micheal A. Queen(wife Lacy R. Queen) , Rudy Ruedas Jr. (wife Sayako S. Ruedas), Caroline Ortiz, Christopher L. Ortiz Jr., Aaron Ruedas, Drew Reyes Ortiz, Patricia L. Hollingsworth and Christian S. Hollingsworth; and three great-grandchildren: Ada Lynn, Rylee, and Lana Queen.

Louisa was a member of Los Milagros de Christo for over 20 years and active member of the Dolores Catholic Church; She enjoyed sharing the Word of God with everyone. She was a timid and strong woman who loved children. She patiently cared for many of her friends and family children. Louisa had a heart especially for her grandchildren and took a big part in raising them in a Christian environment during their early childhood.

Louisa will be remembered for her amazing pork tamales. She was an amazing cook and could bake the most delicious cakes. Louisa will be missed by all those who knew her and her kind spirit will continue to bless us in our lives.

In lieu of cut flowers, please send live plants as the family will be creating a memorial garden. If you wish to contribute to a good cause, please consider the Bastrop Food Pantry, Breast Cancer Awareness or the Dolores Catholic Church in Austin. 
 
The family will celebrate Louisa's life on Monday, April 1, 2024 at Marrs Jones Newby Funeral Home.
The funeral home is located at 505 Old Austin Highway in Bastrop, Texas.

The visitation will begin at 2:00pm.  The Rosary will begin at 6:30pm.  Following the Rosary will be a time for sharing memories. 

On Tuesday, April 2, 2024 the family will continue the celeration of Louisa's life with a gathering of family and friends for food and fellowship at A New Life In Christ Church in Cedar Creek. 

In honor of Louisa, please dress comfortable and wear your shades of purple - her favorite color.
