Obituary

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Sadler Cooper, who went home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 20, 2026.

Our beloved wife, mama, and Nana passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her loving family.

After courageously fighting her second battle with cancer, Linda entered the presence of her Savior. She faced every challenge with remarkable strength, unwavering faith, and enduring hope, inspiring all who walked alongside her. Though cancer claimed her earthly life, it never diminished her spirit or her trust in the Lord.

Linda will be remembered for her cheerful spirit, her loving and kind heart, her generosity, her steadfast faith, and her extraordinary gift of hospitality. She welcomed others with open arms, served her family and friends with joy, and reflected Christ's love in countless ways. Her life was a beautiful testimony to God's grace, and her legacy of faith, love, and selfless service will continue to bless all who knew her.

Linda leaves behind a family who adored her and will forever cherish her memory. She is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband of 51 years, Mel Cooper; their children, Lawson Cooper and his wife Michelle, Cameron Cooper, and Brittany Guzman and her husband Michael; and her treasured grandchildren, Kennedi Cooper, Rowan and Nolan Guzman. She also leaves behind many beloved extended family members, lifelong friends, and brothers and sisters in Christ whose lives were forever changed by her love, encouragement, faithful example, and unwavering devotion to her family and the Lord.

While our hearts grieve her absence, we rejoice in the assurance that she is whole, healed, and at peace in the presence of Jesus. We look forward to the day when we will be reunited with her in eternity.

A Celebration of Life service honoring Linda’s life will be held on Saturday, August 8, at 10:30am at Celebration Community Church located at: 287 FM-20, Bastrop, TX 78602.

In a way that reflects Linda's love of welcoming others around her table, family and friends are invited to gather at 10:00am for refreshments and pastries before the service.

At Linda's request, this celebration is to be a joyful occasion. Rather than wearing traditional black attire, we invite those attending to wear bright, cheerful colors in honor of Linda's vibrant spirit and her love of colorful clothing. We hope that, just as Linda brightened the lives of those around her, the room will be filled with the joyful colors she so loved.

Following the service, all are invited for a reception as we continue sharing memories, stories, and the joy of a life so faithfully lived.

Please continue to keep the Cooper family in your prayers during this time as they mourn the loss of a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and dear friend while celebrating the hope we have in Christ.
