In Loving Memory of Kieran Anthony Garvey III “Garv”
Kieran Anthony Garvey III passed away On July 5th, 2026 surrounded by the love of his family, leaving behind a legacy of service, hard work, and unwavering devotion to those he loved.
A proud veteran, he honorably served his country in the United States Air Force for 20 years. The values he carried from his military service—integrity, dedication, and quiet strength—remained with him throughout his life.
He found joy in life’s simple pleasures: a great burger paired with a cold beer, restoring and admiring classic American cars, casting a line on the water in hopes of the next big catch, listening to classic rock, and caring for his land. Whether he was mowing the yard, planting trees, tending a garden, or simply enjoying the outdoors, he took pride in creating something that would last. Above all else, his greatest love was his family. He loved them fiercely, and they always knew they could count on him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Kyong Ok Garvey; his daughters, Heather Garvey and Kelly Philpott; and his cherished grandchildren, Richard Kieran, Porter Vaughn, Haven, and Eden. His love, guidance, and steady presence will be deeply missed but forever remembered by those who knew him.
Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in the memories he leaves behind and in the example of a life well lived—a life defined by service, loyalty, generosity, humor and love.
His legacy lives on in the family he treasured, the trees he planted, the land he cared for, and the countless memories shared with those who loved him.
Kieran will receive military honors and be laid to rest at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen at 1:00pm on Wednesday, July 22, 2026.
