Kären Wielunski Linam, born on the 17th of September, 1962, found eternal peace on November 3rd, 2025. She was a cherished mother to her children, a beloved wife to her husband, and an unmatched friend to anyone fortunate enough to have met her.
Kären graduated from Texas State (formerly Southwest Texas State University as she was wont to remind you) in 1993 and began a 30 year long journey of teaching, enriching the lives of everyone around her in her profession. She weathered the inevitable ups and downs of her storied career as an educator and in doing so displayed her ability to help those most in need. Ultimately, even after retiring, she couldn’t stay away from teaching. She re-entered the workforce and continued doing what she loved: helping her students succeed.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Linam; son, Patrick Linam; daughter, Erika Linam; sister, Kristine Bell and her husband Kevin Bell; nephews, Christopher Bell and Joshua Bell. As well as her many friends, colleagues, and students.
Services will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at Marrs-Jones-Newby Funeral home. Family and friends will gather from 4:00pm to 7:00pm and the service will start at 7:00pm.
