Johny Frederick Stock

Johny Stock, 60, of Bastrop, Texas, passed away on October 29, 2023.

Johny was born on October 14, 1963 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He attended Washington Senior High School and graduated in May 1982.

He left Sioux Falls on a mission to pursue his own destiny. Johny always had a love for travelling and his first stop from the chilly cold was West Palm Beach, Florida, where he lived for a few years. Johny decided that the east coast was not where he wanted to be, so he backpacked his way west and ended up in San Diego, California, where he lived till 2005.

While he lived in San Diego he met his companion, Kelvin Fouts, of many years before making an honest man of himself and married Kelvin in New York City on June 19, 2012.

While in San Diego, he began his career with Home Depot where he was employed for 31 years. Johny and Kelvin made their way to Bastrop, Texas in 2005 where they planted roots. Johny continued his career with Home Depot until retiring in 2021.

Johny had a love for cooking and entertaining. He enjoyed finer foods and had an exceptional pallet. He loved making his friends feel right at home whenever he would host a gathering. The holidays were special to Johny, especially the 4th of July, when he would hold a huge fireworks display.

Johny is survived by his husband, Kelvin Fouts of Bastrop, Texas, as well as his furry best friend, Chaos. His mother Carol Handwerk of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Brother Danny Stock and family of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. As well as numerous step siblings, aunts and uncles. Johny leaves behind numerous friends that he made his family over the years.

Johny is preceded in death by both Maternal and Paternal grandparents and Stepfather Robert Handwerk who helped raise Johny since he was 4 years old.

Johny will be missed by so many people that he left behind a special place in their hearts. The memories of Johny we have in our hearts will live forever.
