John Roeber, age 64, of Waelder, Texas, was called home by his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 11, 2024. He was born on December 16, 1959, in Austin, Texas, to Edgar and Rosella Roeber, the only son to a home filled with five loving sisters.
After his high school graduation, John's career journey began in the construction industry, inspired by his father's footsteps. He later transitioned to pipefitting and made a mark for himself with his exceptional skills. John was a Journeyman Pipefitter and spent the last several years as a Mechanical Superintendent. Known for his expertise and dedication, John spent many years working on the North Slope in Alaska and had several more years of prior international experience in Yemen, Japan, and Russia.
An avid storyteller and humorist, John loved spending time with friends and family sharing jokes and creating lasting memories. He enjoyed inviting others to laugh with him as seen in his penchant for sending humorous texts and pictures. John found solace in nature through activities like fishing and hiking. Recently taking up beekeeping as a hobby with several hives on his property demonstrated his love for the outdoors. His dedication extended to clearing and enhancing his land where he had dreams of building a home post-retirement. He was known for his unwavering willingness to help others and never hesitated to stop what he was doing to give assistance. A long-time member of Rosanky Baptist Church, John dedicated countless hours to serving his community. Whether it was assembling playground equipment, repairing pipes, or lending a helping hand wherever needed, he was available. Known for his problem-solving skills and willingness to help others unconditionally defined him both professionally and personally.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Rosella Roeber, and sisters Ruth Roeber, Mary Bradfield, and Ginger Roeber.
John is survived by his children Chris (Marie) Andrade, Crystal Andrade, Jason (Meleah) Andrade, Johnathan Roeber, Victoria (Franklen Marek) Roeber, and his grandchildren, Alaina Andrade, Marissa Andrade, Layla Andrade, Katelyn Andrade, Mason Andrade, Joseph Andrade, Miles Andrade, Julia Andrade, and Madison Roeber. John will be dearly missed by all who knew him. While we mourn the loss of a wonderful father, brother, and friend, we take comfort in knowing that John is with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
