Jeffrey L. Chase

March 2, 1954 — July 7, 2023

Bastrop

Jeffrey Lewis Chase, 69 of Bastrop, Texas joined his Heavenly Father and Choir of Angels on Friday - July 7, 2023.

A friend to many, a stranger to none.

Jeffrey had a beautiful baritone singing voice, which may not surprise those that have conversed with him.

Texas born and raised, he loved Texas and he loved his Country, a true Patriot.  He loved the Austin Ice Bats Hockey (deemed the ‘Mayor of the Bat Cave’ by friends as he never missed a game) and those Texas Aggie’s “Gig’em”.  He shared a love of gardening and plants with his daughter and nephew.  A grill master in a class of his own,  made the best BBQ ribs known to man.

Family meant the world to Jeffrey – He is survived by his beloved wife and best friend of 20 years, Daphne Chase  – daughter Amanda Chase and partner Brandon – stepson Mark Waggoner, Jr. – stepdaughter Lara Harlan and husband Joe – nephews Bryan Chase and wife Tina – Jeremy Chase and partner Wendee – and niece Tara Chase – Grandchildren: Makayla and PJ – Leanessa, Marissah, and Maria –Emma, Joseph Jr. and Evan. Great niece and nephews: Blake, Brenna and Grayson.

Preceded in death by father Leon and mother Lois Chase and brothers, Bruce, Richard and Stacy Chase.

Please join us to celebrate Jeffrey’s Life - sharing not only good memories, but some wonderful BBQ.
