James Hanna

James "Bubba" Hanna, 79, of Red Rock, Texas, went home to be with our heavenly Father on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at his home, surrounded by the love of his family and pets.

Bubba was born on May 12, 1943 in High Grove, Texas to G.A. Hanna and Maxine Seipel Hanna. On January 9, 1965, James married his wife, Delores Hemphill, and they had 2 children. James worked in the Texas State Highway Department, the Lower Colorado River Authority, drove trucks for Wright's Distribution, and even found time to haul cattle. He was an avid deer hunter, and enjoyed going river fishing with trout lines with his friends, and camping nearby. Bubba absolutely loved to rodeo and spent 20 years rodeoing with his family.

James was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, G. L. "Bugger" Hanna, and Lyn "Rooster" Hanna; and his sister-in-law, Kathy Holliday.

Left to treasure the memory of Bubba are his wife of 58 years, Delores Hanna; son, James Hanna Jr.; daughter, Gayle Hanna; sister, Helen; sister-in-laws, Margaret Ann and Bea; brother-in-law, Clifton Holliday; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
