Glenda Atkins Faubus was a wonderful woman that was loved and cherished by all who knew her. Lovingly referred to as “Mom Mom”, by her twenty-three grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, Glenda was an amazing wife, mother, sister, and friend.
Glenda was born in Houston, Texas precisely eight minutes before her identical twin sister, Linda. After graduating from Jeff Davis High, she spent most of her life in Texas enjoying her family and friends. Glenda loved to fish, and a competitive game of spades. Her spirit of adventure for the outdoors, and her love for her family, lives on in three generations. On June 30th,2022 she left us to join the Lord, and is now dancing and rejoicing with Him in Heaven.
Glenda is survived by her husband Max O. Faubus, her twin sister Linda McClain, her daughters and their husbands, Henry and Michelle Conner, Clay and Sherri Sayger, Sammy and Lisa Lerma, and Max’s children and their spouses, Max T. and Connie Faubus, Dax Faubus, Bryan Faubus and Julia Caldwell, Rebecca Wetsel and Mark Gray, and Sean and Catie Faubus. Glenda is predeceased by her parents, Albert and Lillie Atkins, her brothers Virgil Burks, Carl Burks, and Don Burks, her sister Jean Copeland, and her great granddaughter, Juniper Maple Conner. A celebration of life for our sweet Glenda will be held on Tuesday, July 5,2022 at 11:00am, located at Bastrop Christain Outreach Center: 1096 Highway 71 West, Bastrop, Texas 78602.
