George Willard Knapp

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of George Willard Knapp. George Knapp was a longtime resident of Manor, Texas. He retired from Stroope Pest Control after many years of faithful service. He loved sitting on the front porch with his dogs, Buddy and Stevie, riding his lawn mower, fishing, hunting, and barbequing with his family.

He was preceded in death by, his Grandson Ricky Jo Carnline II, his sons Hugh Alan Hutchinson, and Lee Harold Knapp and his beloved wife of 60+ years, Kittie Francis Knapp.

He is survived by his son, Steven Wayne Knapp, his Granddaughters, Mr and Mrs. Scott Bean and their daughter Joy Carnline and her wife Kaity Mullins; Heather Hutchinson and her companion Matthew Landry and her children, Rylee Eritano, Harley Tucker and Jase Tucker as well as other beloved family and friends.

The memories, stories and love George Knapp shared with our family will stay with us forever.

Visitation will be at Marrs-Jones-Newby Funeral Home Bastrop from 9:00AM to 9:30 AM

Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 10AM at Haynie Chapel Cemetery in Garfield, Texas.
