Frances Williams went to be with the Father on Friday, January 19th after a long fight with cancer.  She lived a life of service and was dedicated to the education of Texas youth.  In her final days, she was surrounded by family, friends, and many of her students that she loved so much.  

Frances was born on June 13th, 1967 in Hobbs, New Mexico.  She graduated from Baird High School, received her undergraduate degree from Harden Simmons University, master’s degree from Angelo State University, and was working on her doctorate from Texas Tech University.  

Frances loved Texas Tech and was always in front of the TV on game day, rooting for her Red Raiders.  It was a source of great pride that her niece, Kamryn Williams, had decided to attend Texas Tech University.  

Frances is survived by her husband, Tim Williams of Bastrop, TX her brother and sister in law Randy and Melissa Williams of Brownwood, TX, her niece Kamryn of Brownwood, TX and mother and father in law, Joe and Pam Williams of Lubbock, TX.  She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Charles and Dora Hounshell and her beloved nephew Mason Williams.

The service to celebrate her life will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at Fairview Cemetery. 

Family and friends will gather at Fairview Cemetery for our 3:00pm graveside service.

Fairview Cemetery is located at 1307 State Highway 95 in Bastrop, Texas.
