Esther was born and raised in Rockne Texas 1 of 8 brothers and sisters, she attended Sacred Heart Catholic School, she spent 25 years with the IRS as a Tax Examiner. She Married Leroy Seidel after the war and moved to Houston in 1959. Shortly after their oldest child Darryl was born they moved to the house on Banister lane in Austin where they would make their home for the next 57 years and raise their 4 children. Esther enjoyed cooking for her family and anyone really, quilting, cross stitching, growing flowers, painting, decorating cakes, and making people happy. You would never show up for a Sunday dinner after church and leave hungry. Some of her more passionate hobbies were her Christmas village and running. She took great pride in her Christmas village it was a massive expanse of joy that took 4 weeks to assemble and brought visitors from all over Texas. Her other great passion was her running she took up running later in life than most but that did not slow her down. She has hundreds of blue ribbons from marathons, ½ marathons, 5K's and 10K's. She found a great community of friends in the Austin running club and it became a huge part of what defined Esther, the shirts she made "Run Granny Run" were especially special to her family.

Her 5 Grand Children were her pride and joy. She was very proud of each one's accomplishments and she was always very supportive of their activities. Every year she would keep all 5 grandkids for her weeks vacation, they would spend time in the country and 1 day would always be dedicated to Schlitterbahn, with lots of memories being made that they will cherish for the rest of their lives.

She was dedicated to her family here on earth but her treasure was in Heaven, she was a devout Catholic woman and prayed the rosary multiple times weekly. She shared God's love in everyone she came to know.

Esther was a great Woman who held a special place in the hearts of many, she was dedicated to her family and her church. We are comforted knowing that she is now with Jesus Christ. She will be missed.
