Bastrop

Elizabeth Marie Schell aka Seth Hank "Scout" Silverado passed away at age 23 on April 29th, 2025 in Liberty Hill, TX from a motor vehicle accident.

Scout was born on September 8th, 2001 in Riverside, CA to parents Stephen and Lesley Schell. Scout lived life mostly in Texas, starting in Pflugerville before moving to Elgin and then Bastrop. Scout's grandmother, Deborah Orr, was one of the victims of the Biloxi Train-Bus Crash in 2017. Scout graduated from high school via homeschooling in 2020 and was a straight-A student for two years of college. Scout was one year into an apprenticeship as an auto mechanic before passing, fulfilling a passion for fixing cars and trucks.

Scout had an impressive, natural talent for art, excelling in painting, drawing, and digital art. Scout produced hundreds of paid commissioned digital art pieces for the online art community under the aliases Kalifeo Mordai and SAND-MUTT, many still featured online at DeviantArt and Instagram. Scout was well-traveled, having visited 46 different US states, Mexico, the Cayman Islands and Jamaica. Scout also contributed digital art to the Christian Game Developers Conference video game titled "Dreams and Nightmares" (aka DAN). Scout was raised Catholic, studied classical Christian philosophy and theology, and had an affection for the writings of St. Augustine. Scout enjoyed playing guitar and listening to music, especially classic metal and country metal.

Scout is survived by: parents Stephen and Lesley; Schell brothers Stephen Thomas, Matthew Kent, Timothy Joseph, Joshua Caleb, and Jacob Peter; grandparents Stephen and Julie Schell; and grandfather Timothy Orr.

Scout is buried at Fairview Cemetery in Bastrop, TX. Funeral services were performed privately at Ascension Catholic Church in Bastrop by Rev. Paul-Michael Piega.

Scout lived by the phrase, "stay hard, wild, true and free." Scout refused to be labeled by any particular political position and consistently voted Pro-Life. Much like Scout's direct-ancestor, Alamo hero Andrew Jackson Kent, Scout will be remembered for a fierce determination and tenacity through some of the most difficult struggles; always fighting for life, human dignity and family.

Scout will be missed dearly. Please pray for Scout and Scout's family.
