Earl Hellinger, Jr.

Earl Edward Hellinger Jr. "Buddy" was lovingly received into the arms of our Lord on May 7th, 2018. Born on July 9th 1946 in Lorain, Ohio to parents Pauline and Earl Edward Hellinger Sr., Buddy chose Cedar Creek, Texas to be his home 30 years ago upon retiring from a 20 year career in the Air Force. He distinguished himself with professorships at the University of Maryland and Blinn College and later assumed the position of Vice President of Inotec Group and president of ParQ Business Development. Upon full retirement he followed his true passion of training, boarding, breaking, and shoeing horses at his home The Crazy Horse Ranch where the locals called him the horse whisperer. Buddy was a kind and thoughtful man, a highly decorated patriot who loved his country and his family. He was preceded in death by his parents and left to cherish his memory are his Children, Earl Edward Hellinger III and wife Missy, Jackeline Shaw and husband Gary, Barbara Shirey and husband Jack. Grandchildren, Lindsey, Emily, Shay, Clayton, Logan,Brittany and Brandon. Great Grandchildren, Abigail and Saint. His best friend and partner LeeAnne and her family Dimson and Mabel, their children Madison and Mason, Charmaine and her children Preston and Kayla. Buddy is also survived by his brother Charles Hellinger, wife Evelyn, their sons Terry Hellinger and Wayne Hulsey, sister Barbara Anderson and her sons Paul and Tim Israel, brother Richard Hellinger and wife Tatyana, children David, Ramona and Tymur, brother Donald Hellinger and children Daniel and Jessica, step brother and sister Robert Williamson and Julia Tham and their families as well as numerous grand nephews, nieces and cousins. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made in honor of Earl to the cancer charity of their choice. A celebration of Buddy's life, including Masonic and Military honors will be at 11:00 a.m. May 17th, 2018 with Thomas Campbell officiating at the Marrs-Jones-Newby Funeral Home in Bastrop, Texas.
