Donald Johnson

Donald Leroy Johnson, 81, of Red Rock, TX, passed away on July 31, 2021.

Donald was born in Turtle Lake, Wisconsin. When he left there, he joined the Air Force. He met Joann Goertz at the Watterson Hall and they married in 1961. The two lived in Austin till 1984 then moved to Rockne, TX. Donald loved golfing, fishing, and playing pool. Donald was out-going and friendly to everyone he met on his various delivery routes.

Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Joann Goertz Johnson; parents, Herman and Fern Johnson; his parents-in-law, Fred and Mary Goertz; infant children, Gerard and Jacqueline Johnson; brothers-in-law, Frederick Goertz, J. Gordon Goertz; sisters-in-law, Claudette Griffith, Mary Jane Goertz, Yvonne Darilek, Isabel Bishop, and Pearl Johnson.

Donald is survived by his partner of six years, Joyce Peavy and her three sons, Philip Peavy (Rita), Willard Peavy Jr. (Lisa), Robert Peavy (Lou Ann); brothers, Floyd Johnson (Betty) and John Fisher (Mary); brothers-in-law, Julius Darilek, Bobby Goertz (Lori), Dan Goertz, Johnny Goertz, Stephen Goertz (Barbara); sisters-in-law, Sandra Higgins (Felix), Joy Goertz, Rose Parris, Annabel Harris, Ovon Goertz.
