Braden Chamblee, 28, of Bastrop Texas, was born on June 16, 1998, during one of the biggest heatwaves in recent history. He came into the world hot, and continued every day that way. He was a big, bright, beautiful blessing every day that we were blessed to have him.

Braden was raised in the Bastrop area, spending his days riding the golf cart with his weenie dog, swimming in the pool, and teasing any family member that was nearby, but especially his brother and sister. He attended BISD schools throughout his childhood. He graduated from Bastrop High School in 2016, and after having lots of good times and dodging school as much as possible, he continued on to receive his Bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M in 2023, where he studied Wildlife and Fisheries because he knew he couldn’t spend his life behind a desk. 

From an early age, he was very athletic. On the way to all of his many soccer games as a young child, he would always ask, “Hey Dad! Who we battawing (battling) today?” And then they would always answer together, “Whoever’s on the field!” This is something we say to this very day. As we all face this excruciating loss and have to face the days without him, just remember that we will battle whatever is on our field - with God’s help. (Jeremiah 20:11)

That athleticism followed him into adulthood, with his favorite activities involving the outdoors, as there was no other place he would rather be. His hobbies included fishing, hiking, rock climbing, skiing, rafting, traveling and exploring anything he was able to. He loved learning new things and perfecting new skills. As his dad said, “Bray has done more in his 28 years than I’ve done in 56.” One of Braden’s greatest treasures the last few years was meeting and falling in love with an incredible woman. He and Suzee had many wonderful times together and were looking forward to a lifetime of walking hand in hand on numerous adventures. 

Braden leaves behind a loving family which includes his mother and father, Shelle and Waylon Chamblee; fiancé, Suzee Glasscock; brother, CJ Chamblee, his wife Ronni and their three boys, Jamisen, River and Hunter; sister, Jaimee Manibusan, her husband Adam Manibusan and their three children, Mia, Sydnee and Josiah; godparents, Laura and Jeff Carder; honorary parents, Pari and Dad Khan; Uncle Shon and Aunt Cindy and their two children, Aj and Sloan; Aunt Jody and her four children, Makala, Alyssa, Logan and Hayden; grandmother, Sherri Williams; grandfather, Curtis Chamblee and grandmother, Theresa Chamblee.

Hope has holes in its pockets It leaves little crumb trails so that we, when anxious, can follow it. Hope’s secret; it doesn’t knowthe destination it knows only that all roadsbegin with one foot in front of the other Lil Bray Bray, we will always love you more! 

Services will be held Friday, August 7, 2026 at the First United Methodist Church in Bastrop Texas.

The memorial service will begin at the church at 11:30am with Food and Fellowship following at the Church Fellowship Hall.
