Bernice and Alfred were strong supporters of the Rockne community especially the Sacred Heart Church and VFW Post 2527 of which Bernice was a Ladies Auxiliary member. They were married 39 years at the time of Alfred’s death.
Bernice is survived by her children Wanda Hoffman (Clayton), Donald Klaus (Marilyn), Gail Klaus, Gary Klaus (Brenda), Doyle Klaus (Debbie), Karen Tucker (David), Audrey Goertz (Gerard), and Colleen Meuth (Steve), 28 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. During these unprecedented times, the family greatly appreciates all of the prayers, texts, and different ways in which everyone is reaching out to them. At this time the family will have a private celebration of Bernice’s life. A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date.
