Annie Lou Cox

Annie Lou Cox, 88, entered the arms of the Lord on May 29, 2023. She was born August 3, 1934 in South Carolina. She was a sweet great-grandmother, grandma, mom and sister who will be missed. She loved gardening, walking on the beach and being in the warm southern weather. She loved sitting outside and watching the birds, squirrels, and her dog play.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Garland Cox and Eula Branton Cox, brothers Thomas V. Cox and Samuel L. Cox, and daughter Marsha Anne Spore.

She leaves behind her beloved children Deborah Eagan and Clifford Keith Spore. Granddaughter Amber Anne Anderson and her husband Jeremiah Anderson. Great-grandchildren Becca Anne Anderson, Garrett Anderson,and Charleigh Rose Anderson. Cherished siblings Carolyn L. Sanderson and her husband Lloyd Sanderson and Jesse R. Cox and his wife Ruby Cox. Along with nieces, nephews and cousins.

Annie Lou will be greatly missed, but we find peace in knowing she is praising her Savior and rejoicing with the family who has gone before her.

Visitation will be at 10:00am and Service at 11:00am on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at Marrs Jones Newby Funeral Home with burial following at Fairview Cemetery.

The funeral home is located at 505 Old Austin Highway in Bastrop, Texas.
