Anna Vaughan

Anna Lou Vaughan, 89, of Cedar Creek, TX, peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior while at home surrounded by her loving family on April 11, 2024. Anna was born on June 3, 1934 to Lucian and Lillian Williams in Huntingdon, TN. She is preceded in death by her parents and six siblings-Marie Creston, Mary Kelly, Elise Pointkowski, Billy Williams, Jimmy Williams, & Larry Williams.
 
 She is survived by her husband of 60 years, William "Earl" Vaughan of Cedar Creek, children, Kathy Epp (David) of Georgetown, TX, Kaye Vaught (John) of Georgetown, TX, Randy Vaughan of Blanco, TX, and Renee Goertz (Pat) of Red Rock, TX. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
 
 Anna retired from the Texas Department of Health after working 20 years.
 She has spent the last 44 years in Cedar Creek, TX. She was involved with different youth organizations. She was a member of the Delhu Riders Club and the Travis County Sheriff's Posse where she loved working Playdays and High School Rodeos. Before retiring completely, she served faithfully for 15 years as church secretary for Wyldwood Baptist Church in Cedar Creek where she attended church regularly. If you ever needed anything done at the church, Anna was the one to get it done!
 
 Anna also loved her sports and was constantly watching basketball or football. Her favorite teams to watch were the Texas Longhorns, the Spurs, the Cowboys, and the Kansas City Chiefs. She enjoyed sitting in her chair watching birds and the family livestock from her living room window.
 
 Anna was a breast cancer survivor of 29 years.
 
 She was a loving and caring wife, mother, and "Mawmaw", and a devoted Christian to her family and friends. She will be greatly missed but we know heaven is rejoicing with a new angel!
 
 The family would like to especially thank the nurses and aides with Choice Hospice and Visiting Angels aides - Jessica and Lourdes for their kindness and care of our loved one.

Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at Marrs Jones Newby Funeral Home, located at 505 Old Austin Highway in Bastrop, TX.

The funeral services will begin at 10:00am on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at Wyldwood Baptist Church, located at 398 Union Chapel Rd in Cedar Creek, TX. 

Following the service, Anna will be laid to rest at Upper Ceder Creek Cemetery.
