Anna Lois Kasberg passed away peacefully, just shy of her 99th birthday. One of 13 children raised on a cotton farm, Anna learned early the values of hard work, resilience, and family that would define her entire life.

Anna spent 35 years working as a telephone operator, a career that spoke to her steady, dependable nature. She was married to LB for almost 60 years, a partnership built on love and shared passions — together they raised and raced greyhounds, a hobby that brought them years of joy.

Anna was famous throughout Texas for making the best brisket around, a skill that brought family and friends to her table time and again. She generously passed her talents on to others, teaching Linda to sew — a gift that later opened the door to Linda’s career in the film business.

She found peace and joy in her garden, tending to her flowers, canning the harvest, and shelling pecans for hours with the people she loved. But more than any skill or achievement, Anna was known simply for her heart: she was kind, sweet, generous, and loved her family fiercely and completely.

Anna leaves behind a legacy as the best wife, mother, and grandmother — a woman whose warmth touched everyone who knew her, and whose memory will be carried on by her family for generations to come.

Services to celebrate Anna will take place on Friday, July 10, 2026 at Ascension Catholic Church in Bastrop.

Family and friends will gather at 9:30am and the Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00am with burial following at Fairview Cemetery in Bastrop.
