Elmo Irvin Taylor, age 67, of Bastrop was called to his Heavenly Home on Wednesday, July 25, 2018. He was born April 13, 1951 in Lampasas, Texas to Lonzo and Rowena (Crocker) Taylor.

Elmo graduated Killeen High School and then attended Central Texas College and Texas A & M. He and his wife Jeannie have resided in Bastrop, Texas for the past 18 years. He was a Deacon at First Baptist Church of Bastrop and a previous church in Lufkin, Texas. He was also a Sunday School Teacher at First Baptist Church of Bastrop and served on many church committees.

He is survived by: his wife, Jeannie Taylor; children, Zackery Taylor, Kathleen Taylor, Jacob Taylor, Kim Goodwill and her usband Cody; grandchildren, Chloe Goodwill, Colton Goodwill, Conner Goodwill; and a brother, Luther Taylor.
